Call forwarding 'unexpected response' error message

I have a sony xperia z5 compact and although I have set up my voicemail, I don't seem to be able to forward onto the 222 voicemail as when I try to set it up I get the error message 'unexpected response from network'

Any thoughts?

Re: Call forwarding 'unexpected response' error message

You say you have set up voicemail, if that is the case then it should be working OK, with no need to set forwarding on your part.

222 is the set up number and not you voice mailbox number. The reason you get 'unexpected response' is that call forwarding is not available on Virgin, and it is not a valid number anyway.

Can you access voicemail from your mobile, to change message, pin etc?

If you want to be absolutely certain it is working, switch of your mobile and leave a message from another phone.

Hi pipperuk,

if you put *#67# into your phone and press call.

The number that's displayed is your Voicemail number Smiley Happy

Hi pipperuk,

I would suggest that you call Virgin customer services on 789 and ask them to reset your voicemail.

Once they have done this, run through the setup procedure:
How do I set up voicemail

Re: Call forwarding 'unexpected response' error message

I thought 222 was my mailbox number for virgin? If this is not correct, what is my mailbox number (my mobile?)

I can access voicemail settings through calling 222 and have a message set up but when I have tried calling my phone when it is off or just not answer ing it just rings and rings and rings.

Thanks for your help
