have you tried taking the battery out whilst the phone is on, then replace it and turn your phone back on ( this will force the phone to reboot which often helps).
From the same link I used earlier: Phone Support there is more suggestions of help.
One idea which may well work would be to perform a reset on your phone (the instructions are there in the Phone Support) the only problem with doing this is that it will wipe your phone (not your SIM or memory card).
If you decide to try this therefore make sure you back up anything that you wish to save.
