Call and text logs not working since switching to virgin

I recently change from giffgaff to Virgin, my phone now will not send texts and I can't view texts I have received. Also it does not log texts or calls, taken or missed,

Can someone advise if there are settings I need to change.

Hi E1len,

if you click on the link here: Phone Settings you should be able to select your handset. Click on the link, follow the instruction & you'll receive the correct settings on your phone.

I did that is only gives settings for Internet, picture messaging (which I don't want) and something else (nothing to do with text or calls).

It wont be the Virgin network that is the issue has its not the sim that records the data , this is the handset.

What handset do you have?

Is the service centre number correct?


I'm afraid I can't offer any further ideas. As Lee said it may be a fault with your phone rather than the settings and I am sure he is much more knowledgeable about such things than myself.

Hi yh the call centre number is correct, I have no idea what's going on with it now?? I've tried everything I can think of.

It was working fine before I switched??

Hi E1len,

have you tried taking the battery out whilst the phone is on, then replace it and turn your phone back on ( this will force the phone to reboot which often helps).

From the same link I used earlier: Phone Support there is more suggestions of help.

One idea which may well work would be to perform a reset on your phone (the instructions are there in the Phone Support) the only problem with doing this is that it will wipe your phone (not your SIM or memory card).

If you decide to try this therefore make sure you back up anything that you wish to save.
