Buy data while in Holland

I am not happy as I paid for 10mb data and it does not work . I have checked my account and roaming is on

 

And I am not calling Virgin mobile from Holland as it will cost

Well seems I do have the 10mb data when I message status to 23456
But no internet is working at all

Sorry to hear your not able to use your data pass in Holland. 

 

I'd like to help you get this sorted.

 

The most common reason our data pass fails to work is that roaming data is not turned on, on the handset. Give this a try.

 

If you'd like me to show you how to do this I would require the make and model of phone you have.

Hi broksonic,

 

Thanks for getting back to me Smiley Happy

 

To turn data roaming on, on your iPhone 5s follow these steps below:

  • From the Home screen, tap Settings
  • Tap Mobile
  • Turn Data Roaming Off or On as required

Once you've done this try switching the phone off then back on again if it doesn't immediately work.

 

Let me know if this sorts it out.

Still does not work and roaming is definitely turned on , on my phone.
It is also showing as turned on , on my account settings

Seems to me that I am not the only person that can't use data while abroad . Guess as long as they are getting the money for the Data package then they don't care if the customer can't use his phone

Thanks for keeping us updated. I appreciate your frustration with this.

 

Even though it shows active on the website it may not be live on the EE platform. There's something you can try your end if you're not willing to call the team.

 

If it shows it's turned on then please turn it off. You will be presented with a message in green. You'll need to wait 2-24 hours for this to be successful. Then you repeat the process to turn it back on again waiting a further 2-24 hours.
 
I know this may be tedious but it'll update it on EE's side again and hopefully start working for you.

I am not willing to call the team because of the cost.
I am coming back home this Saturday so not much point in trying what you suggested
