Had this problem twice now, basically my banks mobile banking app requires authentication via an automated phone call. The call doesn't come through and somehow ends up bricking my SIM so I can't receive calls or texts for a while. Outgoing calls are unaffected.
Called my bank and they said the problem is with Virgin who acknowledge there is an issue but are not doing anything about it?! Anyone else having this problem?
A small number of customers have reported a similar issue, however it does seem to be specifically regarding automated calls from banking apps that do this and it's not being reported with any normal calls, so I'm not too sure what's causing it.
Could you let me know what handset you're using and if you test your SIM in a different type of handset does the problem still occur?
