Any update on virgin getting 4G yet?

Just wanted to know if there was any chance of Virgin getting 4G in the near future.

Re: Any update on virgin getting 4G yet?

Hi Caro1000,

Thank you for your question and popping into the Community and my apologies on the late reply.

We don't have any news of 4G coming to us right now but we're always looking to improve the service in time. When we do have news about anything and certainly 4G, check out our News and events page Smiley Happy

I hope this has helped and if there's anything you need please let me know.

Ben

Re: Any update on virgin getting 4G yet?

I can't understand why Virgin aren't pushing for 4G! It's obvious with more and more phones being 4G people will want it just because their phone can use it, if they can't get it they will move provider.

Re: Any update on virgin getting 4G yet?

Virgin Mobile "piggy back" off of EE

When people have 4G they usually use more data because its faster and content streams quicker, however, Virgin pay X amount of pounds per GB which at present is a high rate. If we then introduce 4g , virgin would then have to increase the cost per GB it charges you as a customer which then would price us out of the market which isnt productive right? . We have a strong 3G source and a reliable connection at that too .A fantastic coverage percentage at 99%

Re: Any update on virgin getting 4G yet?

Speak for yourself not "we", I have poor to no signal since May 2015 in area (not alone going by threads here) as EE prioritise the masts and decommission others.

Even when signal shows full bars is mostly 1-2Mb/s and 0.1Mb/s in speedtests, where as it was full 3G+/H+ speeds before May.
