Android WiFi Buddy App - loss of Widget

I have a Samsung S3 phone with the Virgin Media WiFi Buddy Android App installed. One of the most useful features was an associated Widget which showed either which WiFi network you were connected to, or how many WiFi networks were available locally.

However, in the last few days this Widget has disappeared from my phone (and is not shown in the list of available Widgets on the phone).

Why has it vanished? How do I get it back again?

I have been advised the widget is no longer available.

We are currently looking at new and innovative ways to improve our WiFi Buddy app.

Hope this helps.

Re: Android WiFi Buddy App - loss of Widget

Noticed that since the update the other day but TBH it did not work for (info bellow).

Once installed the widget would work once for both the main setting on it, then after that it would only work for one of the main setting but crash on other (cannot remember the wording right now but its only 2 main options).

To get it to work again it needed a total removal of App and reinstall so I just used the App not Widget after that, I hope this was a fix but seems the update only mention it now supports Apple.

Ii would have preferred the Widget if it worked for me all the time.

Re: Android WiFi Buddy App - loss of Widget

Happened to me.

Lost  widget on ZTE Blade V. Not in Widgets.

Used to work OK for me.

Doubt we'll see it again if it was crashing on some phones easiest solution is to bin the widget.
