4g roll out for home users

Are there plans to offer this to home users who have other Virgin services? Calling over WiFi would be good too as I have poor mobile signal so incoming calls to my mobile often drop out or go straight to voicemail. As I use my mobile to get work calls I do not want to give out my home number.

There is no restriction that would stop cable customers signing up for 4G.

Re: 4g roll out for home users

As Ben has pointed out, 4g Tarriff's are now available if you want to change over.

Calling over WiFi is NOT available with Virgin Mobile.

Re: 4g roll out for home users

Hi Ant56,

4G is now available on our network I’m pleased to say, click {here} to find out the tariffs that we have available.

Also I noticed you had a query about Wi-Fi calling, Although this isn't a service we can add on to your account, there are a few apps that can help with this. I would search your app store with Wi-Fi call and see what apps are available, as always I’d say stick to the higher rated ones.

I hope this helps Smiley Happy

Kelly

Re: 4g roll out for home users

Virgin only offer a Basic 4G offering and 4G - wifi calling is not included, as Kelly mention there are apps out there

Other networks only offer wifi calling on the top end of phones

Re: 4g roll out for home users

Thanks for the info. I do hope that Virgin follows Vodafone and EE in offering WiFi calling from mobiles.

Re: 4g roll out for home users

It's an extra service they would need to contract from BT their biggest rivals, I'd not expect it to ever happen, they have only paid for the lowest 4G service possible, tbo Virgin keep their offerings to the basic on the mobile platform as they don't own any of the hardware
