4g for existing customers

Hi, so just read that you have now launched the 4G sims which is great and the tariffs look really competitive. As an existing customer when am I likely to be getting 4G on my Galaxy S7?

Thanks

Re: 4g for existing customers

Hi no1male,

on THIS page it says:

Already on Virgin Mobile? Upgrade or switch to 4G

Put some extra oomph in your phone by upgrading or switching to a flexible 4G Pay Monthly plan. If you’re already enjoying Virgin Mobile you can likely move to 4G today. Log into your account, change your plan to 4G, and if 4G is available to you we’ll send you a new 4G-ready SIM for your smartphone or device.

So you'll need to change your plan and receive a new 4G SIM.

@AlexKid

If only those words you copied and pasted were that easy for everyone :-)

Linked to the number I want to upgrade to 4g is a very old IMEI number of a PAYG phone, the link I get on my account will only take me to the Freestyle phone's page (pic below), can't get through on phone because it looks like there a bit busy today. lol

@no1male

For your wife's and son's upgrades, check to see if old IMEI numbers are showing on their accounts.
Log into online account and click "about my plan", scroll down to "your device".

Re: 4g for existing customers

My account shows an old 3G phone, but I could still upgrade to 4G tariff online, they say they will send new Sim.

I clicked on "About my plan" then there was a tab at the top for "Change Tarriff"

As I was on £10.16 1 GB tariff with 2500 mins, I have chosen £9.00 with 1GB and 1500 Mins which will be plenty.

Have to wait for sim now. My Phone is LG Spirit 4G from Virgin.

Nick

No "Change Tarriff" tab for me, just the tab to upgrade phone as in my picture above, even though I've never had a contract phone before with Virgin.
