4G tariff change

I have just received my new 4G SIM but can't actually get on 4G until my package refreshes on 20th Jan.  Phoned up customer services who said the refresh date can't be brought forward - is this the case?

Re: 4G tariff change

Hi urmstonrichard,

as far as I am aware you have been told correctly.

4G will start on your refresh date and I have not heard of anyone having had that date brought forward.

Re: 4G tariff change

They way to look at it is - with the pay monthly Sims you pay one month in advance for the service, on the 20th of December you paid for your old Tarriff (3g) untill the 19th January, come the 20th January you'll pay for your new 4g Tarriff.

Re: 4G tariff change

Exactly right I took advantage of double data at the moment and the 4g coverage had sim in phone about 10 days installed but my refresh date is tomorrow so 4g starts tomorrow I hope without a glitch

Re: 4G tariff change

Did you get the 4g signal? I've had 4g contract for about six weeks but I'm yet to get 4g or any higher than 10mbps.
