too long to fix a problem

My TiVo box died on the 28th Dec, virgin can't even send an engineer till the 4th Jan.

This seems an unacceptable length of time to be without a TV service

Thoughts?

You should have pushed it for an engineer call out! They can send them out within 24 hours, so the 29th would have been okay. Technical Engineers can be called out within 24hrs, if you give them stick, I would play on that you had no service for all that time, and get a refund.

Regards,

Les.

Re: too long to fix a problem

Hi Jrmmb,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Community Smiley Happy

I'm sorry that the engineering time wasn't what you wanted, I'd like to mention that you can come the Community and we'll always be here to help. Any one of the Forum Team have the ability to arrange an engineer after diagnosing a problem.

I would like to keep in touch and see how the visit goes after the appointment on the 4th.

Keep in touch and speak to you again soon.

Ben

Re: too long to fix a problem

Honestly not great.

Took a week to get an engineer out.

Did a box swap, so lost all my shows, all the kids movies, all the good stuff over xmas.

Then he couldn't set it up as the service was down, so had to do it myself later in the day.

All in all not feeling very good about the resolution.
