tivo error 7011

Have had broadband for a month decided to get the tv as well for the missus, phoned up and young chap told me signal sent to activate my box...spent the whole day now trying to get it to work...error 7011 after it gets stuck on ip connections....is it to late to cancel my contract, im fuming having took a day off work to get this sorted and midnight its still not flipping working
