tivo box goes into freeze frame taking ages sometimes have to switch off

getting fed up with this it takes ages to load a recording and sometimes doesnt do anything tried rest and all that still same

Hi your not the only one. See the post from me tivo snail.. Look around you will see loads of people fed up with the rubbish Tivo box.. But there are no replies from Virgin on the subject I saw a rating site where Virgin is rated with less than 1 whole star.

Many thanks for taking the time to write into the Community, I'm sorry to read that there's been some issue on the TiVo and freezing.

 

I have been able to look into the box and I've not seen a great deal going on so far. Can you let me know if there's been any change in services since you last posted?

Still hanging very slow and completely reset all box and thats a PIA as well no different

I'd like to ask where you're seeing this slowness in the TiVo?

 

Are you seeing this while navigating through the menus, while using the apps or while trying to watch somethin recorded/live?

When we go onto my shows to play a recorded show it just circles forever sometimes or stops

Hi Malky,

 

Thanks for getting back to us.

 

There's a trick I'd like you to try that clears unnecessary background data from the box. Just go to the Home screen and on the remote control press Thumbs Down, Thumbs Up, Play, Play. You'll hear a 'ping' noise and the screen will go blank for a few seconds.

 

Once the box has come back on, you should notice an improvement.
