slow tivo box

I called VM and explained my box is slow. Especially Netflix.

Very kindly they sent an engineer to have a look. He just left saying "that is how it is, this is normal. The reason for it being slow is because the Tivo box has its own 10mbs modem." I am no techie but surely with VM broadband this could be bypassed very easily?

My seven year old Toshiba laptop works quicker than the Tivo box. I like to be open minded but my 3 year old Sky+ HD box beats the Tivo box hands down too. If I had bought this box standalone from a shop or the Internet I would have returned it within days.

Very happy with the phone and broadband though...

Odd why they sent a technician out to tell you the box is slow, they could have told you that over the phone, its nothing to do with the internet speed, more down to the processor and RAM

The guys over the phone said all was well with the box.

Why are we the customer putting up with a poor service?
