recording freeze?

I am experiencing persistent picture freezing when recording on my Tivo box.

Tech help insists there is nothing wrong with my signal.

T.V. index keeps showing "To be announced"

These issues are spoiling my viewing experience.

Anyone else had this problem?

Mm.  I assume you've rung in? You could have a faulty box. I'd ring back and book an engineer. It might be quicker!

I agree with your diagnosis about the faulty box, trying to get this over to the tech guy who does not speak good English is proving difficult however. I could take a week off work and wait for customer services to answer the phone in England I suppose?
I love the service but hate the customer service!

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing freezing when recording via TiVo®.  I'll be happy to help check this out for you.  

 

I have carried out some checks with the box remotely, all signal levels are fine and hard drive status is showing as it should do.  

 

I'd just like to clarify the symptom you describe if that's ok?  When you say the picture freezes, does the picture get pixelation patches or does the whole screen pause momentarily?  

 

If you can let me know I can check further for you.

          Thanks for the reply, the picture has been pixelating and then misses parts of the recording.

Tech team have already checked my signals which are ok.

I have had a long standing problem where my programme index gets lost and shows "to be announced".

I can only presume that the TIVO box has a fault and needs exchanging.

However am losing the willpower to contact customer services by telephone.

Can you help?
