no joy on spotify

I have a spotify premium membership, i decided to log in via my tivo box as it suggests i can do.

i have activated a device password/ i have a user name - it still tells me something is wrong

 

advice?

When you're trying to access the Spotify are you able to log in via the website version, (not affiliated with us)?

hello. I can log on to spotify on both my tablet and my computer with no problem at all. My log in is via faceboook so when i contacted spotify they said to generate a device password, which i have done but am getting no job via the tivo spotify

Thank you for getting back to me so soon. 

 

That is interesting indeed to see as it's not something we govern but from the looks of it the services are operating on other devices. 

 

If possible with you, I'd like to get some additional information before coming back and offering a resolution, (just so i've got everything I need), would mind waiting a little longer for this?

it was one of the reasons i upgraded so i could use it through the TV

My apologies on the late reply, I've been away from my desk more than I'd preferred. I've been looking through the TV services and tested one here and have found no issue outright. Can you tell me if this is still happening here? If so then I'll have this highlighted to our team to investigate.

Hi djcurlywurly, 

 

Thanks for coming back to us on this. 

 

As you were logging in through Facebook, it's possible that you need to set up a username. 

 

When logging into Spotify directly make sure you are logging in without Facebook. This will ensure you are using the correct details for logging in via TiVo® then.

I am not using fb log in, but the device username as was suggested. I contacted spotify who issued me with a new password. This is not working either.

Thanks for getting back to us, when you log on to Spotify from a PC / tablet using the username and password that they've supplied, does that work? Or are you logging in on these devices using the Facebook login?
