How can we turn the pin off PERMANENTLY?

We are a couple in out 50s and do not have children and DO NOT need a pin, at all, EVER, and should NOT have one enforced on us.

We have turned off the pin setting, but are still asked for one all the time. We dont watch porm program with violence ior drug programs, etc.,  yet it still is imposed on programs we cant even work out why. Why does Ancient Aliens need a pin?

It is an absolute PAIN, every time we switch channels in a pin program we have to put it in all over again when we switch back. (And changing it to 1111 is not a solution).

When we were with BT (and other services) we didnt have to, so Virgin COULD make it optional. There are complaints on here going back to 2011 from adults without children, and with disabilities using the controls, asking for it to be removed permanently, yet Virgin have just IGNORED them.

WE are the customer, WE are paying for the service, WE should have the choice of imposing any parental controls only if they are needed, not Virgin.

So Virgin, when are you going to give the people paying the option to turn it off PERMANENTLY?

So how come I am asked to put the pin in when I am not watching movies. I am even asked when I just want to watch a cookery programme!

I can't believe there is no option to turn this off. What a pathetic nanny state.

If the Sky Cinema channels didn't have the PIN they'd have to go back to showing the 'made for daytime' films that used to be on during the day on the Sky Movies channels about 10 years ago.

Out of the two options I know which one I prefer!

Just change your pin to 1111, it cant be that arduous to press a button 4 times to watch a movie

Same problem. Never had it until our old tivo box was changed to a v6 this week- turning off the parental control has made no difference and it happens on multiple channels not just movies.

i have started a petition about this on change.org please follow link to sign it.

ridiculous if they air films but you cant watch or record as you have to pyt in a pin- ive spoken to sky & they say its a virgin thing & nothing to do with them.

so why!!!! As it means im paying for tivo but cant record a film as it wont record without a pin - ridiculous!!!!!

You can record anything without a pin, the pin is only needed to play somethings back
