audio and video out of sync

I constantly have to reboot my Tivo box in order to get sound and picture to sync.

I have reset the Tivo box back to factory condition and still the same problem as before!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing sound/picture sync issues on the TiVo® lately.  I'd like to help check this out for you.

I have connected to your box remotely and mostly all looks great.  There is a signal issue that may be causing this fault, especially as the issue seems to be temporarily fixed when you reboot the box.  I would like to arrange for an engineer to call round and fix this for you.

My Tivo has been out of sync since installation in June 2011, still not fixed !

Apologies if this is teaching granny to suck eggs, but routing via a home theatre sound system can have this effect. There's usually an adjustment on the sound system to fix it.

I will be happy to have a look at this for you, it's odd that it's been ongoing for so long but we'll get this checked out for you.

Can you please let me know the following:

* Does this happen on Live, On Demand, Apps, recordings or All?

* Will a reboot resolve the issue? (Even if it's temporary)

* Does it affect certain channels?

* Does it happen on more than 1 box?

If you can let me know I can check further.

I get this occasionally also not using any external equipment.
I tend to find it happens on HD channels.
It was reported years ago but as so intermittent and can't always produce it seems to have been left.

I probably see it once or twice a month.

Happens on HD channels,on demand and recordings. Rebooting does not help. Both my Tivo boxes suffer this problem. Promised compensation a few years ago, how much depending on how long it took to fix........ lol. I think 5 years is long enough to fix, so I am strongly considering leaving Virgin after being customer for over 25 years (cabletel and NTL included).
