Why has my Youtube on tivo failed to connect to TV for seemingly months?

For what seems like months now whenever I open Youtube on my tv I get a message saying that the service may not be working properly for some people and that you are trying to resolve the issue. When i try to connect my ipad to play a video (the manual search function via remote control takes forever) , it cuts outs out on the tv just before each video starts.

I can understand if this was a glitch for, like a week or something, but this has been going on for waaay longer than that.

Is anyone ever going to fix this?

thanks

Re: Why has my Youtube on tivo failed to connect to TV for seemingly months?

Hi CliveKelly

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums.

I'm sorry to hear this is still affecting you.  We are aware of the ongoing work being done to resolve this issue with the YouTube app for our customers.

As a customer myself I get the same error message, but when I enter the app after reading this my YouTube app works fine.  Could  you let me know if you have tried this, and if so if yours is still faulty?

Thanks again for your post.

Speak soon

Karen.

I also used to be able to view Youtube after this message, but now it just changes to the logo symbol with a red cross below it.

The service on YouTube has become worse. Any news on fixing it as it now won't connect at all.

Re: Why has my Youtube on tivo failed to connect to TV for seemingly months?

Hi everyone,

Really sorry for the YouTube app problems on your TiVo® boxes.  This is something we're working to fix, as soon as we have a review date we'll let you know.

Appreciate your patience, and again I'm really sorry for any inconvenience caused.  If you experience any further issues, please let me know so we can check these individually.

I hope that helps.

Kev

Re: Why has my Youtube on tivo failed to connect to TV for seemingly months?

Hi,

We've a number of similar topics about YouTube and TiVo at the moment.

To make it easier, we're leaving one main topic here for discussion, and we'll be posting any updates in our post here too.

Thanks
