Why does bbc iplayer has such poor response through Tivo?
We are regularly very frustrated with the very poor response times when trying to connect to BBC iPlayer through Tivo.
Why does it take at least 3 minutes to get into iPlayer through Tivo, yet we can get it on a tablet/laptop in seconds via the Wifi.
Similarly, as many people appear to comment, why does the Tivo buffering seem to struggle so much. With the cable connections that have been in place for a number of years for Tivo, has this just not been upgraded as efficiently as the Internet?
It has become so frustrating that iPlayer content through the TV is being used rarely, having been superseded by watching on a tablet via Wifi.
This is wrong and stops the family sharing experiences
Re: Why does bbc iplayer has such poor response through Tivo?
The fact it takes ages it load up suggests the Tivo hardware has a slow processor and/or low memory, also the CDN network in your area is overloaded so causes buffering, hopefully as more people move to the v6, which uses your broadband connection it will free up some bandwidth that will serve the Tivo
