Why can't virgin media get it right 1st time

I have just switched from sky to virgin had equipment installed on the 15th Dec,and nothing is working in just get error code 7011 when you phone them to activate your just get the same routine disconnect this unplug that wait a minute and guess what nothing happens I can't believe this is happening now they say and engineer will be here on Xmas eve unbelievable I just want it do what it says on the tin 😠😠
