When are we going to get an update on the Dolby Digital Sound problem?

It's been 5 weeks and counting. What are VM doing about it and when will it be resolved?

Re: When are we going to get an update on the Dolby Digital Sound problem?

Hope VM do not repeat the same procedure that they have employed on the YouTube app.

i.e. Telling us that the problem has now been resolved with many people still suffering

i.e. Moderators running for cover.

If this happens with the DDSound problem, I suspect there will be another outburst from the Forum Community....and rightly so.

Terrible customer service. Is an update so much to ask for.

Re: When are we going to get an update on the Dolby Digital Sound problem?

Sky have a great offer open until 28th Sept - If we don't see some response soon I'm going to up sticks and take it before it ends.

I'm gobsmacked at how poor the VM Customer Service is - and the lack of any response on this forum. I can only assume they really don't care.

Re: When are we going to get an update on the Dolby Digital Sound problem?

Sky CS are just as bad.

There is currently an issue with the smart series link which has been ongoing for months. It does not pick up new series and fails to pick up the next episode the following week.

With no help from Sky who just get you to reset the box (fails), wipe the box and your recordings (fails) or manually re-input them each week (pointless), the grass is not always greener.

Re: When are we going to get an update on the Dolby Digital Sound problem?

Wasn't aware of any SKY issues - I was with them for over 10 years without a problem.

The TiVo seems beset with issues and the complete absence of any response here is really making me very annoyed. And contuing the roll out of an update that they know causes a serious issue - is just mindbogglingly incompetent - and that's ignoring the fact that they should have, previously, fully tested the update to ensure no such problems were present.

It appears they've even given up on fobbing us off - now they are just totally ignoring the issue and their customers.

Maybe we should start a Facebook page about how dreadful VM is.

Re: When are we going to get an update on the Dolby Digital Sound problem?

It has now officially been removed from the specs.

I guess that is the only update required.

What a Croc. That isn't the spec I signed up for.

Re: When are we going to get an update on the Dolby Digital Sound problem?

Martind1 - believe me Sky have issues!

They are rolling out updates which have huge bugs in them too. They too don't listen to customers either.

I suppose essentially if we accept (begrudgingly) that all companies do this we just choose the one with the least bugs!! The grass isn't always greener and no I do not agree with Virgins position.
