Very slow TIVO box

In the last few weeks our TIVO box has been getting slower and slower to respond to any command. For example the TV guide can take up to 5secs to respond. Watching a pre-recorded show can result in a black screen for around 30secs whilst it opens. Seems to be getting slower and slower (only a new box in Sept). Anything we can do...?

VM are aware of the issue and are rolling out an update to all TiVos, it's all explained in the first post in this forum.
