Is it possible to connect two TiVo boxes to TV-- so that recordings on old box can be seen, and only record on the new box?
Go to Answer
The connection to the Virgin Media system authorises use of the two boxes, ensuring they are on your account and being paid for.

Yes, to two separate HDMI ports on your TV.
Both boxes would have to be connected to the co-ax.
You would have difficulty controlling each box - using the TV Anywhere app would be the best solution but both TiVos would need connected to your home network, in addition to the co-ax.
Thank you Ernie_C--- so the hard drive in the TiVo box is somehow controlled by the VM system?
Any other suggestions.
I only wish to connect the old box to watch what is recorded on there.
Make sure both boxes have internet connections as well as the coax connection.
And as long as both boxes are on you only need one box to watch the shows on both and both wouldn't need to be under your tv as long as they are both connected properly.
If you have both boxes under the tv you would need to put something infront of one of them otherwise your remote would operate both of them at the same time.
