Tvio Box recrodings stutter and pixelate

Can someone check the health of my Tivo box please or provide some advice.

I am noticing nearly all recordings and paused TV at about 10 minute intervals suffer from pixelation and stuttering for a couple of seconds and then fine... until about 10 minutes later...

it isn't the actual recording as you rewind and play again it is fine, it is almost as if the Tivo box has a "run out of RAM or Processor contention" moment.

Live TV is perfect.

Box is under a year old as it was swapped out for a loss of channel issue a little while ago, which turned out to be a network problem and not the box!

Any advice?

Thank you for taking the time out to message the Community again.

 

I'm sorry to hear about the pixelation you've been experiencing, I've been looking into this and there is a fault in the area and the network team planning to undertake some broadband upgrades to support the increased demand for our services in your area. When completed, any slow speeds you may be experiencing (particularly at peak times such as evenings and weekends) will be resolved.

 
The Networking team will be carrying out some work on this as soon as possible. Someone will be in touch with you regarding the outage F003650065.

Many thanks for the reply Ben, however we are not experiencing network slow down: it is only an issue when playing from the local hard drive. Do you have any other suggestions?

Many thanks for coming in and posting your comment back to me, my apologies for the late reply.

 

The hard drive is going through some problems as you have mentioned and I would like to arrange an engineer to come out and replace the box itself.

 

I would recommend trying to watch as many shows as you can to ensure that you miss as little as possible, if not any, as there isn't a way to transfer the shows and movies over.
