Tivo remote to control Xbox One

Hi all,

The xbox one has an IR receiver. Is it possible to get a remote code that can power ON and OFF the Xbox One using the Tivo remote control. This will be very useful to me and other users that run their TV etc through their xbox one. Cheers

Re: Tivo remote to control Xbox One

I wouldn't expect so. Microsoft isn't listed in either the TV or AV codes list.

The only thing you can try is a code search, but you'd have to avoid it clashing with your TV during the search.

Re: Tivo remote to control Xbox One

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your reply. I've already done a search under the TV codes and was unable to find a match.
I dont want to change the AV code because my Tivo remote currently controls my Denon AV.
Ideally can use the remote to turn off and on my xbox one and do volume for my Denon amp (which it already does). My TV and amp turn on and off when the xbox goes off.

Re: Tivo remote to control Xbox One

The TiVo remote can only control one system at a time (in addition to TiVo itself) - so even if you could find a code you'd have to make a choice between your Xbox and Denon system.

Re: Tivo remote to control Xbox One

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your reply.
That's actually incorrect. At the moment I have the Tivo remote controlling my LG TV's power on and off and my Denon amp controlling the volume.
Im hoping I can exchange the TV control to my xbox one.
