Tivo recording

Hi,  earlier this week I was watching a programme on BBC1 when a message flashed up saying Tivo was about to start recording and giving me the option to cancel the recording and carry on watching live TV or switch to watching the programme being recorded.  The recording was one my husband had set and as he wasn't there I didn't want to cancel.  I therefore let the TV change channels and, rather then watch F1, went to finish watching my programme in another room.  My question is; should it not have done the recording in the background and let me continue watching live TV?  There were no other recordings going on.

Re: Tivo recording

Yes it should but your ever-loving husband had set up the recording with the useless TiVO reminder feature and so the TiVO did what it was asked - it reminded. Tell him to be more careful next time. And if he isn't let it switch channels and then switch back immediately. It will do no harm, except to your nerves.
