My Tivo goes out of sync on recordings or when pausing live TV, any ideas?
It comes and goes and has done since day one. VM might check your signal levels and might tell you to reboot and maybe they will find some random error on your box that they will blame it on and maybe they won't. Bottom line is that there is no fix and it will continue to happen until they fix it. Unfortunately VM don't seem to like fixing things. I'm trying to watch something myself right now but it is not fit for purpose, for the same reason, hence this post..
I'm really sorry to hear that you're having issues when you watching recordings or delay TV. I've run some testing on both of your set top boxes, and can see no issue with either. The signal strength and hard drives on both see spot on.
I'd now have to ask if this happens on both boxes?
Are you connecting the TiVo® to any sound systems?
