Tivo missing recordings

After a week away we came home to find that NONE of the shows we scheduled to record during our week away had been recorded.

The box was plugged in and powered up all week, as was the internet - we left all as it would have been had we been at home.

Any ideas what's happened? Very frustrating.

Further, since our return, we have been back 1 week, the box is periodically missing recordings throughout the week with no apparent reasons. On Friday evening not a single show was recorded as scheduled - there were no clashes and box was powered on etc once again.

£40 a month and currently we are basically getting live tv and not a lot else!

Re: Tivo missing recordings

When you say the box was powered up, was it actually in standby?

there is a fault athe mo that they're working on that if the box is in standby it won't record. New software glitches. Try leaving it properly on. Might help.

Re: Tivo missing recordings

That's handy isn't it?! ha

Thanks for your help, will give that a go

Assume there are some default settings that prevent box being continuously switched on.

Cheers

Re: Tivo missing recordings

Hi Lucasbarr90,

Welcome to the Community!

As Parrotperson has mentioned, there is currently and issue we've found with the latest TiVo® update.

While our team is working on a fix, we recommend turning off the power save feature to prevent the box from entering standby.

To do this press Home on the remote control then select:

Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Power Saving Mode > Turn off Power Saving

Doing this will ensure all recordings go through without a hitch!

All the best  Smiley Very Happy
