Tivo is painfully slow after update.

It's in the title really, since the firmware update tot he device a couple of weeks ago everything seems slow, menu navigation, starting a recorded show, setting up recordings and the explore this show function doesn't seem to work at all! Any chance this will get fixed?

Ben's reply has cured mine as well.  This needs to be announced to everyone as there are several threads about how slow the TIVO response is after the software update.

Yes, I have tried this 'fix' and it has improved a little, however this is not the service I expect, you have effectively forced an update which has slowed the device far beyond an acceptable amount, can we expect this problem, which is evidently wide spread, to be resolved at some point?

i sent this 'solution' to a friend a few minutes ago. my email host says 'This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be'

hardly encouraging coming directly from the vm forum.
