Tivo box and Samsung TV UE55KS8000 compatibility issues
having recently bought a new Samsung Smart TV UE55KS8000 (4K / SUHD) I am having difficulty in getting my Tivo box to work with it. It simply states "no signal".
The new Samsung tv's have a Connect Mini box which is connected to the tv with one cable (not HDMI). The HDMI ports all work as I can plug my computer and also apple TV without any problem. The only thing that does not work is the Tivo box and noone has a resolution.
The Virgin Media engineer has been around but has never seen the new Samsung Smart TV but simply stated that it is not a Virgin / Tivo issue as the box still works with my old tv (10 years old).
Has anyone had the "no signal" issue and managed to resolve it?

PS - FYI,
with any PC -> HDMI -> my Samsung Tizen smart TV. I select source on TV then switch on PC...
the TV will say no signal for a few seconds as the PC boot up process begins. . part way through boot it decides that there is a signal after all , & works ok
it's a PITA but you could experiment with various different power on orders e.g. put tivo in standby, then select sourceon TV then wake tivo
or put TV on standby, wake tivo, then wake TV
I take it you have already power cycled absolutely everything - for the TV that means physically pulling out the mains cable or switching off at the wall as there is no off switch. . that cures some Samsung TV woes; the step after that being a full on factory reset via the TV menus.
