Tivo Box - Error 7400

Each time I turn my TV and Tivo box on I get an error message 7400.

Calling the support line clears the problem, but surely I should not get this message every time?

Frustrated new Virgin customer.

TiVo is designed to be left powered to operate.

How long do you leave it powered off?

During the week after initially powering up the Tivo box, it was not turned off at all (except to put into standby) but each time I turned the TV on again it woke up again with the error 7400, which each day required a call to remove it.

However we turn the Tivo box off and all other equipment when we are not in residence which is variable but could be up to 3 weeks.
