TiVo recordings stuttering

Hi there,

I appear to have an issue with my TiVo box and I'm not sure if it's coincidence with us getting a new TV but I've noticed that on recordings we get picture stutters and the box seems to run slow frequently requiring a reboot. Can anyone run some tests to see if there are any issues?

Doubt it's your new tv. If problems on recordings only then it's your hard drive failing. Also re slowness

Mods on here usually work several days behind so you could wait a while for an answer. Ringing in is quickest.

Hi Ben,

Yes it is, I'm convinced it's not the TV, the box also seems to run slow randomly as well.

Thank you for your reply, 

 

I have been back into the TiVo and services in the home and I've not been able to see any issues with the hard drive nor signal levels on the TiVo.

 

At this test however, I was able to see some minor timeouts on the Hub.

 

I would like to ask if you can reboot all devices and try recording a show from BBC 1, Channel 4 and a SKY channel of your choice. Can you let me know if the recording still stutters?

Can you give a bit more information about your stuttering problem?

I am just wondering if it is the same problem I had for five months with VM refusing to acknowledge it.

Nice to be able to post again, after their mistake (removed by the Censorship team).

We have been having the same problem.  It drives me mad when watching a recorded program.  We have also tried all the common suggestions.  unless there is a fix we will have to request a replacement TiVo.
