TiVo reboots at same time every morning

Hi, hope someone can help.

For the last few weeks, my TiVo box has rebooted at 6.15am every morning.

Anyone know why this might be happening? I've had the box for almost two years if that's helpful!

ETA: just noticed that someone else on this board has a similar problem, so it's not such a one-off as I thought!

I'm sorry to hear that your TiVo® is rebooting frequently.  I'll be happy to help check this out with you.

First thing that comes to mind, is your box over heating?  It maybe worth checking to see if the box is hot to the touch at the time the box is rebooting.  If your box is well ventilated I would expect this to be the case.

One other thing I want to check, it's a remote possibility but I want to rule it out anyway if you don't mind helping me check this.  When you look at the Mini Guide, what time does it say?  If this is incorrect this could be causing the box to reboot.

Thanks for sticking with us whilst Collette looked into this Smiley Happy

 

We have since found out that there was a fault raised regarding this under reference F004298782. 

 

Everything has now been resolved and the fault has been closed. 

 

Can you reboot your TiVo® box for us and then monitor things over the next few days. If you notice any further reboots, come back here and let us know.

Thanks for your response.

This hasn't worked - it's currently rebooting again.

I originally had an engineer visit booked for next week, but this was cancelled by Virgin - can this be reinstated please?

Just realised that it's 5.15am, not 6.15am today - that seems to be the only difference made!

Just rebooted around 0655 or so as usual

Hi Collette

My Tivo is still rebooting most mornings around 06:55 am...

It is a shame that the forum group ignore some posts, and never offer a solution, rather waffle about there is a known issue but should be fixed now!!

Clearly it isnt.

There are three or four threads at the moment all with the same issue, the only difference is the time these reboots occur!!

So please can we have some more definitive answers to our problems??

Our engineers are working to resolve this as soon as we can.

If you can let me know the latest occurrence of the box rebooting itself that would be super.
