I've read that the TiVo box is supposed to be noisy but mine rumbles and hums, it's so annoying. This box is also slow to the point that I'm considering going back to my Roku stick which offers me everything I need because catch up TV is so good now.
Tivo has made my favourite App Netflix a painful experience, is slow to access and remains flaky to say the least I really don't see why you would pay for TiVo (currently mine is a free trial) buy a Roku or Amazon prime stick they do everything you need apart from record which is not required with catch up. More recently the box just reboots for no reason and hangs for several minutes whereas my Roku stick never failed once.
