TiVo error C501

Hi - my first time here.  I am still getting the C501 error after rebooting.  Also my TiVo rebooted again by itself.  The TiVo has been very slow lately with lots of buffering and watching a rotating cogwheel.  What can I do next?

Thank you for coming in and posting your message.

 

I am sorry to read that there is some issue on the TiVo and the error of C501. I have looked into the services and everything is looking well right now. I would like to know if this is still happening?

 

If you can reboot your box, you should see an improvement.

Hi Ben - thanks for your response.   Rebooting the TIVO box didn't help much.

What did speed things up quite a bit was the following tip I later read in this community:

Home > Thumbs down > Thumbs up > Play > Play > Play

I've noted this in my TIVO guide for future reference.
