TiVo box fault

My TiVo box has given up.
I have many issues with my box which may all be connected?
When I switch on it will say signing in (that never happens) and none of buttons on remote or box will work so I switch it off at back, once I'm eventually in about 10mins into watching anything it will freeze, then every light on box will flash then it just shuts down. Any suggestions greatly received as I don't want to lose the program's I have stored

Well apart from checking that all the cables at the back are in properly no you're only choice is an engineer. Box could be dying unfortunately.
