TiVo Guidance

Hello everyone, so I've been planning on getting an additional TiVo box for my bedroom but before I do can someone please share some light.

At the moment I have one TiVo Box which is located in my living room. By purchasing an additional TiVo box for my bedroom am I able to watch whatever content my package has available?

So let's say in the front room my son is watching Discovery Channel, can I watch Sky Sports in my bedroom?

Also, are we allowed to record 3 shows per TiVo box? In my bedroom I don't have TV but have PC monitor with HDMI Input connection am I able to connect the TiVo box onto the monitor or does it have to be TV?

Thanks

Re: TiVo Guidance

1st part yes see no reason not to be able to do that as 2 separate boxes.

I got my mother a 2 Tivo set up last year and messed about with them and I am sure in testing I did the above.

2nd Part no clue but no doubt someone had tried it.

Re: TiVo Guidance

Yes, to all of them, you can record 3 shows per box, watch different channels and watch all the channels from your package. The monitor should also work OK as it has an HDMI connection.

Also, if you connect both TiVo's to your home network you can watch programs recorded on one TiVo box on the other one (though only from a certain selection of channels).

Would you happen to know where I can find the list of channels?
