TiVo Fault: no sound on recordings and after pausing or rewinding tv

Well the thread seems to have disappeared, with no resolve to the fault. Can one of our nice moderators give an update?

Yes, there was talk of another workaround, but it all seems to have gone quiet - bit like Dolby itself!!

Bit of a twist on the long lost ability to output 5.1 sound via the now mute optical port, update the site and 'lose' the highest viewed thread! Maybe its in the 'TV' section as it seen as our TV/equipment at fault not TiVo, that seems to be message from the support staff....
