TiVo Box menus slow to load and pixelated on some channels/recordings

Hi

My TiVo Box menus slow to load and pixelated on some channels/recordings is there anything I can do or does it need attention from an engineer.  I've tried the obvious things like connections and rebooting.

Re: TiVo Box menus slow to load and pixelated on some channels/recordings

Pixellation on live TV & recordings is likely a signal issue, so will need looking at.

Give them a ring to get a tech visit arranged.

I am also experiencing vert slow menu loading and general lag which is very frustrating. Has been doing it for a while now. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Driver555,

Welcome to the community Smiley Happy

Are you experiencing issues with the picture freezing or is it just slow when navigating through the Home screen? Also have you tried rebooting the box by the mains?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Re: TiVo Box menus slow to load and pixelated on some channels/recordings

Hi Rose,

Thanks for the follow up and the welcome 👍🏻

Picture freezing is probably the only thing I haven't had. It is very slow in menu navigation, sometimes up to about 12 seconds following a request from the handset. During this period it will just go blank showing only edges of the navigation panes with no text or sound.  It has at least on two occasions gone completely blank and not come back. Only a power cycle on the box from the mains sorts it out. Following the power cycle it will take a long time to come back up with menus.

Really hoping you can help, I am a patient man but am fast losing it 😩

Thanks, D555

Hello Driver555,

Thanks for getting back to me with this information.

This certainly sounds like a fault so I would like to arrange for one of our engineers to take a look at this for you.

I'm just going to send you a private message with appointment times which you will find if you click on the purple envelope at the top right of the screen.

Talk to you soon.
