Here I am,a loyal customer since the days of CableTel only to find that my loyalty discount has been taken away!!
I`d wondered why my bill was higher than usual.As we are both retired the extra amount every month is unaffordable.

If it's anything like mobile accounts, loyalty discounts are for a fixed period (during which time you are locked in on a contract). They do it so you can't just up and leave whenever you want.
Call them and tell them you are thinking of leaving as you seem to be out of contract and they don't seem to want your custom any more, and see what they offer you.
