Why does my TV come on with a message starting up its been on now more than half an hour

Someone cancelled my appointment so have had to make another, waited in all morning what a waist of time, must have been a mix up at virgin.

Arrived at last after 2 appointments cancelled by Unknown. fit new TiVo box and scart lead, thought it was scart lead loose, worked ok 3to4 times when engineer was here, switched it off when he'd gone then on again got same message bad signal so took scart lead out and put it back in again and it worked ok yesterday so I'll see what happens next time I switch on.
