TIVO turns itself on nearly every night

Hi,

One of my tivo boxes has a habit of turning its self on during the night whilst we are sleeping. It happens 4 or 5 times a week sometimes. I am just wondering if this is normal as my other TIVO box does not do this.

hi,

mine also suffers from this intermittently , i always put it on standby ie green & red led @ night.

in the mornings some times it is on ie 2 green led's ??.

no recording planned overnight .

power settings havent  changed.

Yes thats exactly what my upstairs Tivo is doing. My downstairs one doesn't do it. Any advice Virgin?

Any pets sitting on the remote?
Do you use the remote control app at all?
Any Suggestions recorded? (though they shouldn't wake it up like that)

Do you know at what time it turns on, or is it just at some point overnight?

Which software version does your box currently have?
Home -> Help & Settings -> System Info -> Software Version

Hmmmm, so it's had the new update.
Is your turnong TV on as well, or just TiVo?

Do you have the power saving set to put the box into standby?
I forget the settings, but there's one which should put the box back to sleep after 4hrs.

as you will have gathered from my original post I only stated my tivo box. I appreciate very much that you are trying to help but I did ask for someone from Virgin to reply so am happy to wait for them on this occasion.
