Switching set top boxes around

Hi

I currently have a TiVo box connected to an upstairs tv and a v+box attached to a downstairs tv.  I'm rearranging the furniture upstairs and the TiVo box will not fit on the shelf I have in mind.  The v+ box would however.  Can I just simply switch them over or have they been set up to only work with the TVs they are currently connected to.

Re: Switching set top boxes around

You should just be able to switch them over, possibly a slight chance if the tivo is on a longer run now that its levels may be a bit out, but unlikely.

Re: Switching set top boxes around

Switch off before disconnecting and make sure coax cables are properly tightened at both ends when reconnecting. If you want to access the Tivo remotely it will also need an Ethernet connection at the new location.
