Starting up issue

Hi,

Sometime when I try to switch on my tv it says 'starting up'. I had TiVo for about 13 months and at begin this problem happened every now and then, but in the last 10 days it's been happening almost every day.

Any suggestions?

I add engineer out loads to sort mine out it was giving issues so I cancelled my services and moved to some one else just a thought could be issues with box

Hi Rose,

I am turning my box from the mains.

It takes very long time, it can take as long as 30 minutes and nothing happens.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I would recommend using standby rather than switching it off at the mains every night because the box needs to make essential updates which usually happen after midnight.

This is why the box keeps saying starting up but it shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes to start up

Please let me know if putting the TiVo® into standby resolves this issue.

Hi Rose,

The problem is still there, I can hear the box doing updates, but I still have the starting up problem. It's been a while now and it's very annoying.
