So Long Tivo - what about the old gear

Well the Sky guys have been and gone - Sky Q multiroom now in situ.

Well is it slick or what! Don't think I ever remember the Tivo being this quick.

However I'm bound to find a snag somewhere it's emerging technology isn't it.

ANYWAY the question is what about the Tivo Boxes - I know we feel their only scrap

value but I was told I would be sent boxes to return them and now I read on the forum

from VM staff to dispose of them at the recycle point...What the truth.

VM BB Vivid100 still the business though.

Re: So Long Tivo - what about the old gear

Saw a post on here from someone (last week) they were trying to charge for the not returning the old gear so better not throw them unless you have that in writing. If they do not send boxes send them a recorded delivery letter, keep a copy yourself, giving them a set reasonable time limit to collect them and reasonable times when you are likely to be home - if they do not comply then its off to the recyclers with them.

Re: So Long Tivo - what about the old gear

Virgin Media still want TiVo boxes and the Hub 3.0 back - these are still classed as current kit.

Older TV boxes and broadband kit isn't required back and can be recycled.
