Smartcard invalid

I've not used my tivo box for some time, although last month you cut my phone line off and gave stonework else my number in error therefore when am engineer came out he checked all my services including the tivo and he said it was fine, it's now been switched off but only in standby since, when I've gone to watch it yesterday in getting an error "sorry, it looks like your smartcard is invalid" message.???

You'll need to phone in and ask for the smart card to be activated again. 

 

You could try removing it and gently cleaning it and popping it back in but I think you'll probably need to phone.

I'd like to welcome you to the forums, and say I'm really sorry to hear that you were experiencing an invalid smart card issue over the weekend. 

 

I've run some testing this evening and it appears that all is working for you now, should you still be having this issue, please let me know and I can investigate further for you.
