I had a similar problem with my TiVo box a few years ago and it turned out to be a problem with the remote control.
If you've tried changing batteries; maybe reboot the TiVo box itself first to see if it makes any difference otherwise I suggest you contact 150 (Customer Services) and request a new remote control be sent to you - should arrive within a few days.

I'm sorry that the TiVo feels like it's being a bit slow lately, I'd really like to help and have already done some tests. Looks like the TV services in the home seem to be working well with no signs of signal issues or latency. I would like to ask if the helpful advice from Magic66 has helped?
