Series Link+ - When I don't want ALL Channels, just SOME Channels

Dear all, quite enjoying the new series link + on the Tivo.  But I've hit a snag.
Some channels (BBC's, Ch4 for example ) have multiple iterations of the same channel (for region or AD).  Whilst this is useful, it is annoying when you select ALL in Series Link+, these become available for recording from.

How do I remove the channels I don't want from the ALL option?

It's not something that you can do. With Series Link+ you can record from a single channels or from all channels.

However as long as the episode of the programme you're recording has correct EPG data you'll only get recordings based on your chosen Series Link+ preferences, even if it's been shown on multiple channels.

if you set the recording for new only it should only record one episode no matter how many channels it's showing on

Re: Series Link+ - When I don't want ALL Channels, just SOME Channels

Thank you for the rapid replies.

The issue is that the system is defaulting to the high (800+) channel numbers.  I think that there is an underlying failure of logic in the system.  There is a presumption that all channels with the same name are the same.  In the case of BBC1 for example this is not true.  BBC1 AD is not the same as BBC1 as there is additional sound for Audio Description.

Although there is additional sound, I'm pretty you shouldn't hear it unless you turn it on in the audio options. If not you just get the normal programme. It's not the same as the overnight accessible AD and signing service where it's part of the core broadcast.

If you've got a HDTV, you can get the Series Link+ to prioritise the HD version a programme instead of SD.

Can I set a default for all series to record NEW only or do I have to set it for all series links?

The option for 'New only' is something that can be set as a default.

Just to point out though, once you change the default it will then apply to any series links you set up from then on, if you want to change the setting for existing series links you do need to do them manually.
