The TiVo is connected to my Sony TV by HDMI and to my Panasonic HDD recorder via SCART.
the first TIVo was a CISCO build and this correctly sent a signal to the Panasonic in 16:9. This box proved faulty though and was replaced by aSamsung build. This box is outputting in 4:3 via the SCART. I cannot find a setting to correct this. I have swapped th SCART lead which is fully pinned so should be carrying the 16:9 signal. As I want to be able to archive TiVo recordings to my Panasonic is there a solution to this of is it a known feature if the Samsung build boxes ?
Sorry but that does not help. That setting is correctly set at 16:9. The TV is correctly displaying in 16:9 it's the recorder that is the issue
Ah sorry, I don't know then. I have scart output to a 2nd tv and it outputs correctly but I do also have the Cisco. Not heard of it being a problem with the Samsung though. I would reboot and double check the above setting, just to be sure but you might have done that already.
