Regular freezing of channel & unresponsive/slow TiVo box

Hi

I believe I have a similar issue to http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Virgin-Media-TiVo-service/Break-up-of-picture-and-slow-motion-wh...

On several occasions in the last couple of weeks the TiVo box becomes almost completely unresponsive and the channel goes into really slow motion or cuts out completely. The only way to fix it is to switch it off at the back and back on again. 

Is there a way to test the hard drive before calling an engineer out?

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing intermittent response issues with the TiVo®, I know how frustrating and annoying these faults can be.  I'd like to help check this out for you.

I have taken a look at your box remotely and there is a couple of detectable signal issues that will require an engineer to call round and fix.  I will pop the details in a private message for you, look for the  icon above.
